What the free SEO check covers
The scan runs more than 60 individual checks and groups them into six areas, each with its own score and grade.
- Indexability. robots.txt rules and analysis, noindex directives, sitemap, canonical tags, redirect chains, soft 404 pages and HTTP status codes.
- On-page SEO. Title and meta description, heading structure, hreflang, Open Graph tags, structured data, favicons, URL structure and link health.
- Content. Amount of real text on the page, content quality signals and keyword stuffing.
- Performance. Time to first byte, Core Web Vitals, compression, caching, render-blocking resources, image optimization and HTTP version.
- Trust and security. HTTPS and TLS, security headers, CSP, clickjacking protection, cookie flags, exposed config and backup files, mixed content.
- AI-search visibility. Crawler rules for AI bots, llms.txt and readiness of the page for answers in AI search.

Findings from the same report

- Error. Clickjacking protection: no X-Frame-Options or frame-ancestors rule.
- Warning. Canonical: the tag exists but does not match the final URL on some pages.
- Warning. Sitemap and robots.txt: both work, but the sitemap has gaps.
- OK. Time to first byte, headings, hreflang, mixed content and HTTPS pass.
How to run the scan
- Enter the domain in the form at the top of this page.
- Confirm an email address so the report can be sent to you. Signed-in users skip this step.
- Open the report and start with the checks marked Error: they have the largest effect.
What the scan does not do
It does not measure rankings, traffic or backlinks, and it does not replace Search Console. It reads the public pages of your site and reports technical problems that can hold rankings back.
Free SEO check FAQ
Is the SEO check really free?
Yes. The baseline report is free. The Advanced report with the full prioritised action plan is unlocked with credits.
Do I need to sign up?
No account is needed. You only confirm an email address so the report can be delivered.
How long does an SEO scan take?
Most scans finish in about a minute. Large sites or slow servers can take a few minutes.
What is the difference between an SEO check and an SEO audit?
An SEO check is a fast automated scan that finds technical problems. A full SEO audit adds manual analysis of keywords, content and backlinks. Use the scan first to fix the basics.
Can I check a competitor or a client site?
Yes. Any publicly reachable domain can be scanned, and the report link can be shared.
Is it safe to scan my website?
Yes. The scan sends a small number of ordinary requests to public pages and common file paths. It does not log in and does not change anything.
